Frequently Asked Questions
When should I apply?
We recommend applying as early as possible. Our program fills quickly, and early applications increase your chances of securing a spot.
How do I know if my child is ready?
Readiness includes being at least 2.6 years old and fully potty trained. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help assess readiness together.
Potty Trained Policy:
a) Be able to TELL the adult they have to go potty BEFORE they have to go. They must be able to
say the words “I have to go potty” BEFORE they have to go.
b) Be able to pull down their underwear and pants and get them back up without assistance.
c) Be able to wipe themselves without assistance after using the toilet.
d) Be able to get off the potty by themselves.
e) Be able to wash and dry their hands.
f) Be able to go directly back to the room without direction.
g) Be able to postpone going if they must wait for someone who is in the bathroom, or if we are
outside and away from the restroom. A teacher will assist when needed.
We realize that “accidents” will happen. “Accidents” by definition are unusual incidents and should only happen infrequently. When assessing readiness, the goal is for less than 3 accidents in a week (not including accidents while fully asleep at night or during naps).
What happens after I apply?
Once your application is received, your child will be placed on our waitlist according to their age group. Enrollment runs between June – September each school year. We will begin contacting families as early as April to follow up on students potty training status and schedule a tentative start date. Once potty training is completed and a start date has been confirmed, we will schedule an enrollment appointment to submit all the required enrollment forms and to allow your child a playdate to visit the classroom and meet their teachers prior to their first day. If a spot opens up earlier, we’ll contact you directly to begin the enrollment process.
Do you offer tours?
Yes! We love showing families around. Please contact us to schedule a visit—we’d be happy to meet you and your child. (626) 305-1188
Tours are held between September – April
